Who is World Team?

Growing up Southern Baptist, I have always heard a lot about Missions through the International Mission Board (IMB) and the North American Mission Board (NAMB). I remember going to GA Camp many years as a student and then as a counselor. IMB Missionaries would come and speak to us about what they were doing and how God was using them all over the world. In fact, it was at one of those GA Camps that I first felt a call to missions. I remember being very excited about it at the time. Of course as a 5th grader, I was destined to change my life goals many times over the years. I even came to think that the "call" wasn't real and that I was just an overenthusiastic kid. I did always feel called to be involved in ministry of some sort. Eventually, God brought me back to the idea of missions when Brandon and I were living in France and met some missionaries there. These missionaries, David and Kathryn Lohness, were part of a mission organization called "World Team". If you want the whole story you can see some of my previous posts or the FAQS section of the blog. We were unfamiliar with the mission at first, but quickly came to love these missionaries and we started to share their passion to reach the French people. Eventually, we came to realize that God was calling us to France as World Team missionaries. Today I want to share with you via a couple of Youtube videos that were posted by World Team a little about who they are. If you are one of our many friends or family who have never heard of or know very little about World Team, I encourage you to check out these short video clips. The one about the Kimyal people receiving their first Bible translations in their own language is particularly touching. The other one is a recap of how God used World Team in 2010 all over the world. (including the US). I hope you enjoy them! Also, if you click on the World Team logo at the bottom of the blog site, it should take you to the World Team website where you can learn more about them if you choose. There are also links in the FAQS section of the blog.
